Marie Louise Eriksen is a full time professional
artist. She was born in Denmark and spent her childhood in the
northern part of the country near forests, fields and the sea.
The inspiration for her paintings is the natural world;
landscapes is the predominant theme.
"My paintings are a reflection of how I feel about a place or a particular subject. Rather than copying exactly what is in front of me I tap into my emotions and memories. I enjoy simplifying and abstracting shapes while color and the combinations of color are my favorite means of expression."
Marie Louise has exhibited in the United States,
Europe and the Middle East. Her paintings can be found in
various private and corporate collections in Australia, Denmark,
Canada, England, Egypt and the United States. She has lived in
the United Arab Emirates, USA, Egypt and France. She currently

Arbejdsområder; Olie og blandteknik på lærred. Monotypier. Barn- og ungdom på landet vest for Frederikhavn. Naturen spiller hovedrollen i billederne som oftest er baseret på skitser lavet i naturen og på rejser. Marie Louise har arbejdet med udsmykningsopgaver, skrevet artikler om kunst og er forhenværende bestyrelsesmedlem i kunstnersammenslutningen SLAA i Texas. Representeret på samlinger i bl.a. Australien, Danmark, Canada, England, Egypten og USA. Marie Louise er bosat og har atelier på landet nær Frederikshavn. Permanent repræsentation på Galleri7 i Frederikshavn.
